When I spend time in nature, listening to the sounds of the birds, the rushing water, the waves or the wind in the trees, I feel the love of the Creator and get a glimpse of His beauty. When I lie on the beach and experience the powerful effects of the healing electrons flowing from the earth and through me, and feel calm, at peace and free, I feel the love of the One Who has made the earth in His gorgeous Divine wisdom. And when I eat the things that are according to His original design and wisdom, I feel God’s love in the nourishing effects of the plants that He has given us for food according to His original intention and our design.
One of the most amazing ways to experience the Loving Hand of the Creator of the universe is by consuming the superherbs that are available to us in the world in which we live. Most people will not yet have experienced the healing value and health giving potential of these plants, but I can assure you that the value is real and immense. In particular, the top, most highly valued herbs have been used in ancient healing modalities around the globe for thousands of years. And, while for millennia many of these herbs were reserved only for the royalty or most wealthy families in the earth, we are blessed to have access to these things in our day, perhaps like never before.
Among the most highly valued superherbs are those that are “tonic” or “adaptogenic” in quality. What this means is that these are herbs that benefit us to be used throughout our lives on a daily basis, many of them being safe for everyone (though each is unique in its application). These kinds of herbs can be commonly found in ancient Chinese, Indian, South American, and Siberian ancient healing traditions and are all of great benefit to us. I believe these kinds of herbs were also valued by Solomon who penned Proverbs 31, and who characterized the ideal wife as being one who (among other characteristics) was like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. While it is ideal to get fresh produce locally (rather than shipping across the planet), these kinds of herbs are most certainly worth becoming part of the world’s prized trade items, being sent across the globe “from afar.”
Among these top world herbs include: Chaga mushroom, Reishi Mushroom, Shilajit, Shizandra berries, Gynostemma, Ginseng, Astragalus, Ashwaghanda, Mucuna Pruriens, True (non-GMO) Raw Cacao, He Shou Wu, Rhodiola, Maca… just to name a few. There are so many wonderful healing plants for us to enjoy. Many of them are even free, and found all around us growing wildly, for the experienced, knowledgeable wild forager to discover and benefit from.
“She is like the merchant ships, she brings her food from afar.” (Pro. 31:14)
