Yiskah is a Certified Nutritionist who holds a holistic perspective on health and well-being. She has come to understand that our overall health is affected by all aspects of our life – the thoughts we think, the beliefs we have, how we react emotionally to things, the things we eat, the things we say, the activities we participate in, the things we hear and see and experience, the people in our lives, the dynamics of our relationships, the air we breathe, our connection to nature, our awareness of things, our level of physical activity, where and how we eat, the work we do, and so on! In particular she believes that true health can only be found along with connection to the Creator as we learn to walk in His ways, according to His design (rather than forcing our own preferences as we have been doing for millennia).
For over ten years, Yiskah has been engaged in continued learning, pursuing an understanding of natural living and health, through both formal education and personal research. She has also been blessed to personally experience the amazing benefits of incorporating natural health and healing into her life, while abandoning the “standard” toxic products found in the marketplace. In her family life, she has experienced her family overcoming both chronic and acute health challenges through natural means, and has found a great appreciation for all that is available in nature, for our benefit, health and overall wellbeing.
In Yiskah’s words:
Our health and wellbeing is dynamic – and connected to many things, including the world in which we live and the programming that we received and accepted as social and cultural norms. This world, and the people in it are both in need of a great deal of healing – and effort can and must be put in, in order to promote health and healing for the world and for ourselves. We each were created with great potential, but because of the way we are brought up and the world into which we were born, each of us has become completely detached and distanced from what we really are and what our potential actually is. But, we can pursue this potential in our lives, and find health and healing along the way.
To gain health and healing we will find the most benefit when we consider all angles. Not that we need to or even should pursue everything at once, but we must understand that healing does not necessarily come from simply eating better, or exercising more – it is a lifelong process, a way of life. We can reach greater heights, if we continue the journey and discover what our life is really all about, and who we were really born to be.
Education, knowledge and wisdom are fundamental elements of this journey, and we need to seek these things along the way – seeking to find wisdom and insight, is a part of this journey – and we can help one another in our individual and mutual search along the way.
