I’m Yiskah – welcoming you to the Raise Up A Standard online platform.
Through Raise Up A Standard, I invite you to follow along as I share highlights in my life journey. I am a Mompreneur, Blogger, Author, trained Nutritionist, and I am also presently pursuing my joy of music, singing, and song-writing, along the way as I can find time in the busyness of motherhood.
I was born and raised in Western Canada, and feel blessed to be presently living in this very beautiful place in the world, along with my beloved husband Brett, and our two lively little boys, Asher and Jacob.
I am passionate about open-minded Spirituality, motherhood, holistic health and natural living. I love being a mom, homeschooling my boys, time in nature, and personal growth. Through my journal style blog, I also seek to bring you valuable insights and share my favourite products that I believe can add value to your life.
The chosen name of my website, “Raise Up A Standard” (RUAS) is rich with meaning for me. In general, the primary purpose of the RUAS platform is to promote “Spiritually centered wellness and leadership.” In line with this, the name of this website additionally speaks to me of raising the next generation with the hopeful expectation of better things coming upon the earth, as we all go through a process of learning and developing (at least those of us who are actively pursuing growth). Raise Up A Standard also speaks to me of the concept of Spiritual growth and raising our personal life standards, and for me personally that includes learning what it means to connect with the Creator and to seek to align myself with His eternal ways and design. Finally, the name Raise Up A Standard (aka. banner or ensign) speaks to me of being an embodiment of good in the world, and seeking to be the change for the better, and in this sense raising a banner for good.
My hope is that we will both be jointly blessed by my endeavours to share through the Raise Up A Standard blog, and that we can find meaningful connection via this platform.
Thank you so much for joining me, and I look forward to getting to know you better.
Blessings and Shalom,
